Research Interest:

My primary interests center around exposure to cigarette smoking, including 1) further elucidating the etiology of tobacco-associated malignancies such as lung and head/neck cancer; 2) exposure to secondhand smoke as a potential risk factor for tobacco-associated malignancies other than lung cancer; 3) tobacco control issues, such as the use of smoking cessation pharmacotherapies in the general population and potential health effects associated with them. My interest in the relationship of diet to cancer is reflected in systematic reviews carried out to assess the evidence on 1) diet and cancers of the lung and nasopharynx and 2) multivitamin/mineral supplements for the prevention of chronic disease.
