Research Interest:

Dr. Cummings' research includes a mix of laboratory, clinical and population-based studies broadly organized around three major research themes: 1) understanding factors that influence acquisition and maintenance of nicotine addiction; 2) testing interventions to mitigate the health consequences of nicotine addiction; and 3) studying ways to more rapidly disseminate evidence-based interventions to reduce the harms caused by tobacco use.
