Research Interest: My primary areas of basic science research include hematology/stem cell biology and vascular biology. With regards to stem cell biology, a major focus of my work is directed towards the development of improved methods for the identification, purification, culture and transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). We are currently using this model to investigate the role(s) HSCs in a variety of physiological and pathological systems, including cancer.
